Dear Seattle Drop New Single ‘Counting Hours’

Sydney alt-rockers Dear Seattle have unveiled their latest single, Counting Hours, a compelling addition to their evolving discography. Released via Domestic La La, the track offers a self-reflective exploration of love, self-worth, and the complexities of relationships.

"Love is about the harsh truths and the confrontation of your own shortcomings," shares vocalist Brae Fisher. "If you don’t work on loving yourself and confronting your own self-worth, there’s no way you’ll find the love you’ve been dreaming of."

The release of Counting Hours comes as anticipation builds for Dear Seattle's third studio album, TOY, set to drop on January 17, 2025. Featuring 12 tracks, TOY is described as an album that balances nostalgia and freshness, blending the band’s signature sound with an evolved creative edge. Previous singles such as Evergreen, idc, and Nothing’s Stopping Me Now have already set the stage for what promises to be a memorable release.

Since their emergence in 2013, Dear Seattle has grown into a staple of the Australian music scene. From their debut EP Words Are Often Useless to the ARIA-charting albums Don’t Let Go and Someday, the Northern Beaches quartet has continuously honed their modern take on pop-punk and alt-rock.

With a history of electrifying performances alongside bands like Hockey Dad and Trophy Eyes, as well as festival appearances at Splendour In The Grass and UNIFY Gathering, Dear Seattle’s live presence is as compelling as their studio recordings.

The band will hit the road for their TOY Album Launch Party Tour, starting December 12 in Hobart. Shows in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Newcastle have already sold out, with limited tickets remaining for other stops.

Don’t miss the chance to experience TOY in an intimate setting, and prepare for an unforgettable journey into the heart of Dear Seattle’s musical evolution.
