Blink 182 have released their latest single 'One More Time' which serves as a precursor to their tenth studio album of the same name to be released on October 20.
"One More Time" takes a different direction from "Edging" which dropped around this same time last year, offering a more emotionally charged pop-punk ballad.
The song delves into the hardships and obstacles the band faced before finally reuniting with their original lineup in 2022.
Lyrics like "I wish they told us it shouldn't take a sickness / Or airplanes falling out the sky," alluding to Mark's battle with lymphoma in April 2021 and Travis' survival of a plane crash in 2008.
Tom DeLonge, 47, powerfully delivers the chorus, questioning the need for tragedy to prompt heartfelt goodbyes: "Do you have to die to hear you say goodbye / Do I have to die to hear you say goodbye? / I don't want to act like there's tomorrow / I don't want to do this one more time."
Accompanying the release of "One More Time" is its poignant music video, showcasing the band performing together in a room.
The scene transforms into a retrospective montage of Blink-182's iconic moments, from their appearances on TRL and Vans Warped Tour to snippets from their music videos.
